Give the gift of saftey
The Season of Giving is amongst us and CTV Calgary invites you to take part in a unique fundraiser during the Holidays – Give the Gift of Safety in support of the YWCA of Calgary.
Give the Gift of Safety is comprised of three fundraising methods – on December 4th, 101.5 Energy FM will be hosting a live radiothon at Golden Acre Garden Sentre; Golden Acre Garden Sentre will also be collecting donations from their customers throughout the Holiday Season; and we will be auctioning off beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Click here to see the tree that are up for auction.

Here’s how you can get involved in this amazing event. As a long-time partner of CTV, we invite your company to take part in the Christmas Tree Auction. Golden Acre will donate a beautiful live balsam fir tree and you can trim it with your favourite decorations. Use your imagination and create a one-of-a-kind tree and remember, these trees will be auctioned off and 100% of the proceeds will go to the YWCA of Calgary. You can make your tree extra special by tucking gifts underneath, or even hang special gifts as ornaments. The creative possibilities are endless!
The trees will be decorated and kept at Golden Acre so the public can view and bid on them. The final bid date will be December 4th and Golden Acre will transport the decorated trees to their respectful owners to any address within the city.
This is the second Give the Gift of Safety Fundraiser. In 2008, we raised more than $28,000 dollars for the YWCA of Calgary’s Mary Dover House, a transitional housing facility for homeless women and their children. This year, there is an even greater need to help these vulnerable families.
We hope that you join us and help us give the gift of safety this Holiday Season. If your company is interested in the Christmas Tree Auction, please contact Pearl Tsang at 403.240.5681 or by e-mail: pearl.tsang@ctv.ca and we can send you all of the details. We look forward to your response and discussing this project with you further.
