Experience

Doug joined the YWCA Fitness Team in February 2007 after successfully operating his own personal training studio and fitness consulting business for 8 years. He has worked extensively in the post rehabilitation field as a Fitness Specialist for Brain Injury Rehabilitation. Doug’s strength is his ability to engage all individuals in exercise routines as well as the ability to modify exercise prescriptions to fit any and all levels of fitness.  

Doug’s training philosophy:

You are only given one body and it is built for motion. There are so many health related concerns associated with inactivity and poor lifestyle choices that it important to maximize the factors that are within the individual’s control.
