  Group Fitness Classes

Four aerobics studios with wood sprung or aerobic flooring are a hub of activity during peak periods throughout the day. Aerobic instructors are AFLCA and CanFitPro certified and backed with experience to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Fitness classes include body conditioning, hi/low, step and cycling.

Class Guidelines

  • Bookings for tagged classes may be made on the day of the class, on a first come, first served basis. Sign up at the Front Desk or phone 232-1575. If you are unable to attend a class, please let us know so we can give your seat to someone else.
  • Please arrive 5 minutes early in order to get properly set up on your bike and guarantee your spot in class. For your comfort, it is also recommended that you wear cycling shorts or bring a gel seat cover.
  • Please be on time for classes, as the warmup is an important part of your workout!
  • Always bring a water bottle and towel with you to class.
  • Remember to pace yourself during class and HAVE FUN!
  • If you are pregnant or are recovering from any injury, please inform the instructor, monitor your heart rate and look for less intense modifications by the instructors.

Class Descriptions

BODY CONDITIONING: Muscle conditioning at its best! This class is a full body workout that utilizes weights, tubing, stability balls and more to shape your body.

CARDIO BLAST: Each week you will be challenged in a new way! You may experience step, hi/lo or a cardio circuit. This is a great cardio workout suitable for all fitness levels.

CARDIO MIX: This class will get your heart pumping as you use move through various cardio intervals. Expect to be challenged on the step and/or floor. The class will finish will a short but effective muscle conditioning component. top

CORE BALANCE FLEX (CBF): This class is geared towards strengthening your core, improving your balance and flexibility. This class will help you with both daily activities and better performance in overall fitness. Enjoy a great workout!

CYCLE & STRENGTH: This class is a great total body workout! Come out and enjoy 30-35 minutes of cycling followed by muscle conditioning to strengthen your core and upper body. Tubing, medicine balls, and/or dumbbells may be used.

CYCLE & YOGA: Come out and enjoy a challenging ride followed by yoga postures aimed at strengthening and lengthening the major muscles utilized in cycle.

CYCLE BLAST: A 45-minute indoor cycling class that simulates riding over many different terrains.

EASY RIDER: Have you always wanted to try a cycle class? Well, this class is for you! Come out and enjoy a great introduction to cycle.

FAST ABS: 20 minutes of abdominal work in every way imaginable!top

FLOW STRETCH: Feeling stressed? Need a break from the cardio circuit? Then check out Flow Stretch. This class will help relax your tired muscles, release your tension, calm your mind and refresh your spirit.

HI/LO: Traditional floor aerobics for all levels of fitness.

KARMA YOGA: A toonie donation is required. All proceeds go to the Mary Dover House. Come out and enjoy this mixture of Hatha and Vinyassa flow and support a great cause!

MAX PACE: This class is the ultimate in pace! Get a great workout, burn calories and do a little abdominal training to end it off (no abs during noon classes). Previous cycling experience is a plus. top

REPS: Increase strength through repetitive training. This class will run on a 6-week basis. At the beginning of the 6 weeks you will be given a full body workout that you will perform with an instructor for the next 6 weeks. At the end of 6 weeks a new program will be given. The idea — repetitive training will help increase strength and definition in the muscles. As well, you will gain a better understanding of how to properly train your muscle to see results.

TOTAL BODY BLAST: An all in one class! Improve your cardiovascular endurance, strength, balance and flexibility. You will enjoy cardio and strength intervals throughout this energetic class. A variety of equipment may be used including tubing, stability ball, weights, medicine ball and step. Come out and have fun!

ULTIMATE CIRCUIT TRAINING (UCT): An all in one class! Improve your cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance and strength. You will enjoy various cardio and strength stations/intervals throughout this energetic class. A variety of equipment may be used including tubing, stability ball, weights, medicine ball and step. Come out and have fun!top
