Register in person or by phone at (403) 232-1575 with VISA, MasterCard,
American Express, Direct Debit, cash or cheque. All prices are subject to
GST.
Program Refunds & Transfers
Seven days or more before program start date:
- Full refund less a $20 administration fee.
- Credit to your account with no administration fee.
- Transfer to another program with no administration fee (subject to availability).
Less than seven days before program start date:
- Refunds, credits or transfers only due to medical reasons (A doctor’s note must be provided)
Other Program Information
- The registration deadline for all programs is 1 week before the program starts. Please bring your registration confirmation to each class.
- Programs may be cancelled due to low attendance. A full refund, credit or transfer will be processed with no administration fee.
- No programs will be held on statutory holidays.

Mind & Body
Yoga Core & More Strength
This class is formulated to develop strength and flexibility in the abdominal and lower back muscles, hip flexors, glutes, and the stabilizing muscles of the hips. We will develop a stronger range of motion in the hips through various sitting, standing and balancing Asans. The class will be geared towards improving posture, balance, and a few yoga exercises to stimulate detoxification and digestive organ support. All levels welcome as the more experienced will be further challenged.

Seniors Yoga
A yoga class focused on the needs of aging bodies assisting strength and flexibility throughout the body. The class will consist of muscle testing from the neck down to the toes. Each exercise will support flexibility, strength, and a fuller range of motion in the shoulders and hips. Aches and pains will be identified and worked through to provide
a better quality of life, sleep, and support to complete daily tasks with growing ease and satisfaction. Your progress will be supported with an experienced teacher who will monitor and support personal body enhancements to suit individual needs.

Pilates Sculpt
This class stimulates the spring
resistance of a Pilates’ reformer
workout using the FlexBand and
hand-weights. The workout will add
vigor and variety to your workout. Using
a FlexBand and hand weights in each
exercise, the added resistance tones
and sculpts arms, legs, back and torso
while helping to take some of the load
off of the hip flexors.

Self-Defense
This fun and energetic class will give you the basic techniques in self-defense. Different
martial arts movements will be incorporated, along with weight-training, to give you some different things to add into your routine. It’s a great class to stay active while learning how to defend your-self.

Latin Dance - Fridays at Noon
This is an exciting latin dance class taught by Alexandra Sell, which fuses basic dance technique with aerobics and active strengthening and flexibility. Class begins with basic isolations intermixed with Cuban/Latin motions that works on student’s coordination, strength and flexibility. It doesn’t matter if you are dancing professionally or in your own bedroom, the love of music and dance should be an enjoyable experience that lasts a lifetime. No partner required.

Restorative Yoga
Take the time to experience relaxation in an atmosphere conducive for
inward reflection. Take this opportunity to restore your energy levels,
physical, mental, and emotional. During this practice you will enjoy passive
openings of the body and longer stretches, utilizing a number of props for
full body support. Yoga mat and bolster are required. These are available for
purchase at time of registration for an additional fee.

Ashtanga Yoga - Beginner
This beginner level Ashtanga program will focus
on the fundamentals of the practice which include
breath (pranayama), energy locks and safe
practice techniques. A philosophical introduction
to the 8 limbs of this practice will also be reviewed.

Beginner/Novice Training MultiTRY Class
Come prepared for a new challenge every day of the week, and a new combination to keep you interested. In the 2 hr. MultiTRy Class, we will build swim ability, as well as hone your physical fitness and encourage healthy weight loss with fun combinations
of cycling and running. We will all work at our own level and share in each other’s successes.

To deal with a special condition or work on a specific challenge, one-on-one personal coaching uses whatever resources necessary for individualized attention to your needs.

to inform and enable you in safely accomplishing your personal fitness goals in triathlon.

Swim Skill Class
Get more efficient in the water and learn how to breathe comfortably with extra swim training, if you need. In this fun class, we will take you slowly through the

Noon Swim Practice
Come and practice your progressions and drills from the Saturday Swim Skill class with this convenient noon-hour swim practice. Race-Day Prep/Bike Skills Training
Once you’re ready to celebrate all you hard work in the MultiTRY Class, let us help you put the finishing touches on your race-day prep with this workshop. Show up on race morning, looking forward to a successful outcome and confident that you have sewed up all the loose ends. Our coaches all have first-hand experience with all the races in and around Alberta and can let you know the inside tricks.
- Basic bike repair and modification (fixing flats, adjusting seat and bars).
- Packing transition bags (going from Swim to Bike and Bike to Run).

Underwater Video Analysis
Ever wondered what your stroke looks like underwater?

For extra practice and fitness, triathletes with novice or advanced ability are encouraged to take advantage of the chance to swim in the Y’s existing masters club. Meet people with similar goals and encourage each other to reach our potential while working on front crawl as well as the other three foundational strokes.

Punch Pass
($70 for 5 punches or $195 for 15 punches)
Everyone, including existing members and non-members, can access most of the YWCA’s Triathlon Program with convenient electronic Punch Passes. Buy what you want, in units of 5 or 15, and use however you choose, in the program of your choice on any of the day of the week it is available.
This is kept track of on your existing Y Card, or on a new one. Use it by scanning at the front desk, just like checking into the facility.
