Our goal is to offer you the very best in fitness and wellness programs. Our commitment to service and guidance ensures your success. Our professionally trained staff provide all this in a fun and informative environment.

Personal Training

Fitness on 5th Certified Personal Trainers are all highly qualified and experienced. Each one will develop a program for you and your goals. Your success is as important to them as it is to you. After just one session, you’ll wonder why you hadn’t done it sooner!

Personal training rates do not include GST and are based on 60-minute sessions unless otherwise stated. Personal trainers are available by appointment only. Call (403) 294-7333 to book your first session.

Trainer Credentials

All Personal Trainers at the YWCA Fitness on 5th have a degree in Kinesiology or a diploma in Personal Fitness Training and at least one provincially or nationally recognized certification plus C.P.R. and Standard First Aid.

Private Personal Training (1 hour)

Project X

The Project X is small group personal training for up to 4 people. It provides a fun and challenging setting to attain your fitness goals. A Personal Trainer will motivate both the individual and the group to train harder and smarter than ever before. Minimum of 10 sessions must be purchased at one time.

This group rate applies solely to Group Personal Training (if the size of the group changes the fee will change accordingly). The Project X program does not include use of the Club Facility.

Individual applications are accepted and will be grouped with others of similar goals and skill levels.

Members-sessions must be completed within 3 months.
Non-member-sessions must be completed within 2 months.

Corporate Health & Wellness

The main objective of this program is to facilitate the opportunity for corporations to help their staff improve their overall health and well being. The program will be designed to cater to increased variety and focus on progressive improvement over 4-6 weeks segments. The initial goal is to establish participation of employee 1-3 times per week in group strength activities ranging from 4-8 participants.

These group training sessions will be specifically designed to provide fitness exercises that will meet the needs and interests of each Corporation’s health and wellness program. In addition to the specific training programs there will be the opportunity to include various workshops and information seminars to bolster the health benefits of active living and improved overall well being.

Fitness Appraisal

A Certified Fitness Consultant administers the Canadian Physical Fitness and Lifestyle Appraisal to determine your current fitness level. We will evaluate your cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, body composition and lifestyle. Results will be interpreted and discussed at the end of the appraisal. (Approximately one hour in length.)

Annual Member: $55
Non-Member: $70

Body Composition

Ever wonder what percentage of body fat you have? A Certified Fitness Consultant can evaluate this for you.

Annual Member: $25
Non-Member: $30

Fitness Centre Orientation

Familiarize yourself with our equipment, supercircuit and fitness centre etiquette. Call (403) 294-7333 to book your orientation. Individual program design not included. This service is free to club members.

Getting Started

Are you just getting back into fitness after a break or are you new to our facility? Do you need help kick-starting your workouts? Or do you just need a program? We will start you off with one training session and a program designed just for you or a fitness assessment. One of our Personal Trainers will take you through 5 training sessions at your convenience and custom design a program just for you.

Non-member-sessions must be completed within 2 months.
